Seasonal
Easter Sunrise Service. Volunteers are needed to set up and take down chairs for the Easter Sunrise Service.

Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April). Make someone spring with joy. Volunteers are needed to rehabilitate a Beacon Hill neighbor’s home.

Sanctuary Decorations. Are you good at holiday decorating? We need volunteers to plan and decorate the church sanctuary for special occasions such as Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.

Christmas Candlelight Service. Volunteers are needed to set up, take down, and distribute candles for the Christmas candlelight service.

Vacation Bible School. Get out of the house in July and work with the youth of our church. Teachers, assistants and volunteers are needed. Especially if you have music and craft talents. For more information, click here.

Recurring
Flyer Distribution. This is a great way to stay fit by passing out flyers in the Bethany neighborhood promoting special Bethany events.

Grounds Maintenance. We need volunteers to help maintain the grass, plants and shrubs around the church.

Building Maintenance. Are you gifted with your hands and able to change a light bulb or wield a paintbrush? We are looking for willing volunteers to perform periodic maintenance and repairs to the church and vicarage.

Nursery. Like to decorate and make a difference with children? Volunteers are needed to decorate and maintain the church nursery.

Sunday School. Are you a teacher or do you enjoy working with youth to make a difference? We need Sunday school teachers for all ages and pre-school assistants. Start as an assistant or backup and move to full time if you desire.

Helping others. We have several projects for willing volunteers to assist others by providing human care or support in daily activities such as working at food kitchens and homeless shelters, mentoring young people, delivering meals to shut-ins, providing basic instruction in computers or home repairs and assisting local charities.

Banner Hangers. We need your time and talents to help put up and take down exterior Bethany banners announcing important events for the church. Some light lifting and ladder climbing will be required.

Writers/Web Site. Use your Web and writing talents to prepare copy for Bethany’s Web site.

Church Library .Our library needs upgrading and updating. The Newslettervolunteers did a wonderful job of putting the library back together after the fellowship addition was completed. However, we can use donations of appropriate literature and videos or funds to purchase items that can be used for our ministries. The Young Couples group has volunteered to help with this project.

Photography. Do you have digital camera? Put your camera to work for Bethany. Photographers are periodically needed to record the happenings at church events.

English as a Second Language. Help others assimilate. No experience is necessary. Preparatory training will be provided to show you the way.

Altar Guild. The Altar Guild needs willing workers to join them. The Altar Guild assists with changing the altar paraments and setting up for communion. Please contact Doris Gunderson (703/360-5331) if you can serve in this manner.
